Sunday Roast in Epping Forest!
What better way to spend a sunny Sunday than taking a leisurely walk through Epping Forest, followed by a traditional Sunday lunch! We have a couple of local favourites!

It’s not just our opinion, but these two pubs are also well-rated locally for their food, service and atmosphere. One of our favourites, and in easy walking distance from the Great Barn, is The Garnon Bushes, a family-owned pub offering traditional home-cooked fayre.
It is a CAMRA pub with a good selection of cask beers, with a menu of good value, homecooked favourites, and generous portions.
Our other favourite The Green Man, offers a modern international menu – a gastro pub with the added benefit of traditional Sunday Lunch which definitely needs to be taken at a leisurely pace to get through it all, but well deserved if you have already been for a good long walk in the forest!
Choose from their 28-day matured roast sirloin of beef, two lamb options – traditional roast or lamb shank, Norfolk turkey, belly of pork, or chicken – all served with vegetables, cauliflower cheese, roast potatoes and all the trimmings! There is even a mixed roast for when you just can’t decide which option to choose. And for those with room, enjoy a great selection of puddings to follow!
Both of these pubs serve a great Sunday roast. Booking is recommended.
Bon appetite!
