Access Guide for The Great Barn
Vehicles can approach the side of the building to drop off. Parking is adjacent.
To enter the main “living” barn (“old barn”) there are both steps (2 off at 21 cm lift) and a ramp (plus a 10 cm ledge). If one approaches via the ramp there is one step across into the main (old) barn (10 cm ledge). The whole ground floor is on two levels with a double step (20 cm each) between the levels located in the main (old) barn. There are double-doors at the Main Entrance and the entrance to the “Decking” is on the same level. Also, the internal entrance to the kitchen in the New Barn has double-doors.
On the ground floor, including the double internal step, there is the dining area, the TV area, table tennis and pool tables and access to external decking. Through the door (5 cm ledge) into the attached “new” barn is the kitchen, WC, twin bedroom, double bedroom and a Jack & Jill shower room.
There is a utility room reached from the kitchen via two steps down (of 14 cm each) and then outside to a Patio Area, (20 cm down to the ruling ground level. There are four steps up (22 cm each) from the Patio to the Decking that is reached from the main (old) barn. There is an extensive grassed area at the same level as the Patio.
On the upstairs level, via a staircase (with a right angle bend) is a bathroom with bath, two double bedrooms (one with en-suite shower room) and one twin room. (Stairs formed of 13 steps of 22 cm each.)
The surrounding grounds slope down from North to South, but otherwise are in one plane.
